The advice given by the salesperson was first class. I described the decor of the room and he suggested Olive, which I had not considered, but it was a perfect match. He also calculated the size adjustments I needed to slim the surround so that it did not overpower the room.

Thought you would like to see the fireplace in situ. We had to adjust behind the frame as the marble was sticking out more than we thought. The fire surroundIt looks great.

Exceptional service by salesperson, on advice on our own measuring and which fireplace would suit our size chimney breast, as had to have made to measure. Delivery was prompt and by a very nice driver. Both couldn't have done more to help. The quality of workmanship on this fireplace surround is exceptional, we would highly recommend this company.

We asked for a 'one off' made to measure surround which was almost twice the normal size. The job was always going to be complex and time consuming if we were to get it right. And, of course, we could not afford ANY errors. Well, we could not have selected a better website! 'Fires and Surrounds' was so helpful and so accommodating. They gave good advice and lots of help throughout as we bounced plans and drawings backwards and forwards. Finally, the surround arrived and it was a perfect fit!! My Queensbury Fire surround got delivered today, I absolutely Love it !! it's exactly as described on their site and just what I've been trying to find. My Dimplex Sunningdale electric Stove is too large for a lot of the other surrounds I've seen elsewhere. I needed a slightly deeper hearth than standard and Fires and Surrounds have the option to order the right size. The quality is really good, and it's been very well made, all the joints and corners look seamless. The finish is a smooth marble type of feel. Fires and Surround were very helpful and made the whole process of ordering what I needed very easy. I would definitely recommend them

We haven't fitted it yet but we are really happy with the selection we made. It is excellent quality and good value compared to other places I looked at. I ordered the Pendle fire surround in Celtic Oak, having sent for 3 wood samples to make sure on colour. I phoned Fire surrounds for advice & was helped through the process of ordering, my surround which was made-to-measure with down lights. Absolutely delighted with the fire surround, what it promised, it delivered. no hesitation on recommending this firm. As with everything bespoke CHECK your measurements as given on the website.

The surround was unwrapped in front of me and checked by myself and the delivery driver to make sure I was happy and there were no problems.Very happy with the price, service and quality. Have since ordered the matching mirror.

We are so pleased with the quality of our new oak surround and matching mirror. The craftsmanship is second to none absolutely perfect. We are also happy with the sales team who were extremely helpful and gave us professional advice with choosing the fire and fire surround and the delivery was impressive well packed even the delivery driver was helpful, all in all, a great experience of old-style service that's rare in the modern that will do world. We are surprised at the affordable price of the surround and mirror from Fires and surrounds an unbelievable £600 - £1000 cheaper than our local retail outlets for exactly the same products, then they wanted £300 - £500 to fit it, as I'm good at DIY I fitted it myself with the advice from the sales team which turned out to be fairly easy to do. Thank you Fires and surrounds keep up the great work and standards.

When our surround first arrived, there was a problem with the measurements, but this was soon rectified, and everyone we spoke to throughout the whole process was very helpful, patient and understanding. We are very happy with our new surround and would have no hesitation in recommending Fires And Surrounds to anyone.

We are absolutely thrilled with our beautiful made to measure fireplace. (-the TV has now been pushed well and truly into second place, as the focal point of our lounge!)

It is perfect and well made, obviously by expert craftsmen, with all to wall-fittings and delivery included, in a very fair all inclusive price for a made to measure item.

The web site is easy to navigate and order from, even by a novice like me.

The first time I rang Fires & Surrounds, Sean who answered the phone, was very helpful and knowledgable to our needs, he patiently answered all my questions on made to measure surrounds, with no pressure to purchase, -at this point I did not Place an order with them.

When I rang a second time, -with more questions, on weight of the marble etc., I received the same kind patient assistance, nothing was too much trouble, no questions too small or too big, and I was given plenty of time to make sure I had understood how to measure correctly for a perfect fit, without being rushed off the phone, -it was almost like being helped by a good friend! -this was after all being purchased on line, and over the phone seen only from a photograph, (the company being in West Yorkshire, and being delivered to North Devon!)

I was so assured, and well impressed with the service I received, I ordered the smaller size which is the perfect size for our lounge and looks beautiful.

Delivery was on time, even to the hour! -how often does that happen these days!
F&S do their own deliveries, and the driver was as helpful as their Customer services, and a credit to his company.

My fire surround is absolutely GORGEOUS !! I'm so pleased with it, i had to telephone the company to check I was ordering it right, the staff were so helpful and friendly. They called to arrange a delivery slot and the delivery driver was the best I've ever experienced... !! Nothing was too much trouble, he checked over all the marble and surround to make sure I was happy and lifted all the heavy marble to where I wanted it stored, as I wasn't ready to install it that day, he explained how to put it together too. It really was easy to assemble, a few screws, but it is a heavy item, I'm a single girl and did struggle a little on my own putting it together, but I did it !!! I would definitely recommend fires and surrounds, and I would order from them again... not that I will need to for a good few years, as you can see by my photo, it's gorgeous, posh and classy and I'm very pleased with my purchase. My partner contacted you last weekend we've received the fitting kit. It's one of the best things we've bought. You'll do really well if you're advertising them on your website. We went everywhere looking for something and it was only by chance that I typed it in the search engine on the internet and somebody had posted comments and pictures on a forum which linked to Screwfix. Just a quick email to let you know that my surround was delivered this morning. The driver was very helpful and unwrapped it for me. He also guided me with regards to the installation and what to instruct my builder when he fits it.

Just a quick note to say thanks to Sean for your excellent service and advice for our made to measure Newark fire surround which has replaced our existing eyesore. The surround was delivered promptly on the 23rd November by the factory driver whose advice was again very useful. I managed to install the surround and fire without any problems using the fixing kit supplied. The measurements were spot on and fitted the existing skirting opening at the base. Like all jobs, it took longer than expected as the existing was fixed with glue. The difference it has made to our lounge is amazing – it’s made it quite the central focus and everyone has commented on it! We are extremely impressed with the quality of the surround and would like to pass on our compliments to the factory team who constructed the piece. We're not likely to need another fireplace for some time but we'd certainly recommend your company. The surround is extremely good value for money.

We have received our beautiful oak surround. It is perfectly sized and the wood is of superb quality.
